I'm Kelly Jones, a Marco Island family photographer creating beach portraits designed to become artwork for your home. Whether you live on the island or are visiting for a getaway, every session is fully guided, from planning your wardrobe to your final reveal, and built around pieces meant to be lived with rather than stored on a hard drive. Many families from Naples also make the short drive down to Marco for its beautiful, uncrowded scenery.
Marco Island's wide, quiet beaches and warm evening light make it one of my favorite places along the Gulf to photograph families, from a baby's first trip to the sand to extended, multi-generational vacations. Marco Island sessions are offered as full sessions only; if you're visiting and would prefer a Petite session, Old Naples is just a short drive away.

Why is Kelly the best family photographer choice for your family on Marco Island?
Whether you have a family of 4 or 14, the answer is the same. I plan the whole session with you before we ever step onto the sand. Extended and multigenerational families are my specialty, which on Marco Island usually means grandparents flying in, cousins who have not been in the same room in two years, and one week where everyone is finally together.
I have photographed families since 2011 and have been on the beaches of Southwest Florida since 2015. I know where the light lands on Marco Island, the best spots at Tigertail, the way the sunset hits the jetty at the south end of the island, and how Residents Beach and the JW Marriott have the perfect amount of greenery to mix into your beach session.
Your session ends with a design appointment in your own home, choosing museum quality wall art and albums that go up on a wall instead of sitting on a hard drive. I teach this work as well as do it. Absolutely. Many of my Marco Island families are visiting for a getaway. We plan around your travel dates and the best light of your trip.
Where on Marco Island do you photograph family sessions?
Tigertail Beach, Residents Beach, Hideaway Beach, South Marco Beach and the resort stretches along the island. Every client receives a location guide with real sessions photographed around Marco, so you can see each spot before you choose, and I help every family pick the beach that fits their group, their plans and the best light.
Do you shoot at my resort?
Yes. I regularly photograph visiting families at the JW Marriott and along the resort beaches, and I am happy to meet you right where you are staying. Many clients still prefer the quiet, natural beauty of Tigertail. Residents Beach is beautiful as well, though it is reserved for island owners.
When is the best time for a Marco Island session?
Any time. Marco Island is beautiful year round, photographed in the soft light of the hour before sunset and just after sunrise, and those Gulf sunsets are the backdrop families come back for year after year. November through January is our busy season and tends to book early, so reach out as soon as your travel dates are set.
Do you photograph extended and multi-generational families?
Yes, and they are some of my favorite sessions. Grandparents, cousins, the whole crew on the beach together is exactly the kind of session I love. You can see hundreds of examples on my Instagram, which I invite you to follow.
What do we receive, digital files or printed artwork?
Every full session is built around printed artwork, museum-quality wall pieces and custom albums. Petite sessions are my only digital-only offering, but they are not offered on Marco Island; if you'd prefer a Petite, Old Naples is a short drive away.
Do you offer Petite sessions on Marco Island?
Marco Island is full sessions only, no Petites. If you're visiting Marco and would prefer a Petite, Old Naples is a short drive away, and I encourage you to make a night of it with dinner on our beautiful 3rd Street South or 5th Avenue.

Kelly Jones is a concierge family and senior portrait photographer who has been photographing families on Marco Island since moving to Southwest Florida in 2015, after founding her portrait business in Ohio in 2011. Sessions take place on location across the island, from the long walk out at Tigertail Beach to the sand at South Beach and the resort beaches along Collier Boulevard, including families staying at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort.
