Florida Family Beach Photographer
If there’s one thing I love, it’s seeing familiar faces year after year. I met my friend Amy and her family shortly after I moved to Florida from Ohio, through mutual friends. It turns out we grew up in the same suburbs of Columbus, running around the same places during our high school and college years and after we were married with families of our own. The world being the small place that it is, we discovered we even had mutual friends living both here in Florida and up in Ohio still.
Being a family photographer who is able to capture beautiful moments for friends like these is something I love to do. My friend Amy is a typical mom who stresses about her family portraits, and I always reassure her, the kids will be great. Everything will be fine. It always is. I think as moms it is just natural for us to worry that the night won’t go perfectly, someone will act up or the pictures will go haywire in some way. I find my reassuring parents often that no matter how young their children are, or how grumpy they make think their husbands/fathers/spouses may be, it always turns out OK.
When you work with someone you can put your trust in, all you have to do is show up to your photo shoot. Don’t yell. Play with your kids, and remember to smile. It really is that easy, having your family photos taken should never cause you anxiety, or make you upset. If a moment is meant to capture your family, it can only do that if you are present and feel comfortable, letting your worries fade away.
I’m so glad my sweet friends were able to enjoy their night on the beach here in Naples, FL, and were left with these memories and beautiful fine art pieces to treasure until we can meet again on the beach. There will always be another beautiful sunset waiting for us next time and more family memories to document.
